A dynamic and energetic scene featuring a musician with long hair, energetically playing a grand piano on a dimly lit stage

The brilliant Tim Minchin using my favourite book as a response to "the Big Fat Quiz of the Year" show hosted by Jimmy Carr. {youtube}CZ7U3Cu4Mr4{/youtube} https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZ7U3Cu4Mr4

An evocative scene inspired by 'Room with a View' by E.M. Forster, depicting a person standing on a stage, facing the sunlight.

Taking a break from website migrations. Thought I'd share some thoughts I was reminiscing of:

"We cast a shadow on something wherever we stand, and it is no good moving from place to place to save things; because the shadow always follows. Choose a place where you won't do harm--yes, choose a place where you won't do very much harm, and stand in it for all you are worth, facing the sunshine."

...

"...she reflected that it is impossible to foretell the future with any degree of accuracy, that it is impossible to rehearse life. A fault in the scenery, a face in the audience, an irruption of the audience on to the stage, and all our carefully planned gestures mean nothing, or mean too much."

'Twas a Friday morn when we set sail
And our ship not far from land,
We there did espy a fair pretty maid,
With a comb and a glass in her hand,
Her hand, her hand,
With a comb and a glass in her hand.

Showing how you don't need the thinnest fingers to play some amazing blues.
